Terms of Service

The information below is for the benefit of our customers. Please note that we are being hired

to help care for the pool and its equipment at the address listed at the end of this agreement.

The main responsibility lies with the pool owner.

HOURS, BILLING & PAYMENTS

Hours of operation

  • 6:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday

  • Any requested visit outside of the normal maintenance day to diagnose a problem or do extra work outside of normal maintenance will be considered a service call, and a incur a $125 service call charge

  • Invoices are billed monthly and based on four (4) visits per month.

  • There are some months each calendar year that will have five (5) physical service visits in them. For example: If your service day falls on a Friday, most months the pool would be serviced four (4) times during that month. On the months were there are five (5) Fridays the pool will still get serviced, but we do not charge for that extra visit (5th visit).

  • Client is pre-paying for a month of pool maintenance ahead of time

 

Late Fee

  • There will be a $15 late fee charge that will incur if payment is not paid by the 20th of the month. For example: If payment is not received by the 20th day of the month that payment is due, pool services will be put on hold until the account is paid in full and the invoice will get a $25 late fee charge. Price Increase(s)​

  • If payment is more than 120 days overdue, it will be sent to a collections agency in an attempt  to collect payment. If these standards cannot be met, please contact Desert Island Pool Services, LLC to make payment arrangements. Please note that a collections agency may add on up to 35% additional charges to the total owed to Desert Island Pool Services, LLC.

  • Price increases are inevitable. We will do all we can to keep prices down and still use quality products as we service customers pools. If have to raise prices we will give a 30-60 day notice to call customers.

REPAIR & MAINTENANCE ITEMS

Pools require regular maintenance, including water chemistry and equipment maintenance.

  • ​When a pool is under a builder or manufacturer warranty, Desert Island Pool Services, LLC will make the client aware of any repairs needed. It will be up to the client to make contact with the appropriate warranty provider.

  • Yearly maintenance items will be invoiced when they need to be replaced after the warranty period of these items has expired. This includes, but are not limited to: Jandy (3-way) diverter valves, filter tank o-ring, air relief and o-rings, bulkhead to tank o-rings, lid o-rings, parts for certain vacuums and other small parts

  • Filter cleaning will be invoiced every 4 months at a flat rate determined by filter type.

  • For the ease of maintenance, we let clients know up front that we will invoice upto $25 in small repairs without written or verbal authorization. This usually includes gaskets, o-rings, chlorine tab floaters, and pump baskets. Anything above $25, we will need some type of authorization from the client. Equipment Installation

  • We do some all sorts of repair work; replace pumps, filters, install salt cells, and minor plumbing repairs. For bigger jobs like replacing automation panels, installing new automation or similar items we will refer you to another company that can handle those larger time consuming jobs.
